  • Alternate Spreads a.k.a. Teasers are the way to go. You may have to go Super heavy With an 8 game parlay, But I love to string a lot of games in my picks. 8 games with Injuries taken into account I believe these Are the bets matchups available on Most online books.

  • Tonight we are going with the multi game parlay here. Low hisk unlikely hight reward. We will see. I also put 100 on the Heat. +4 as lowry, Strus And PJ Tucker arw liated as Questionable to play. As Boston has 2 starters listed as Questionable as wellnwith robert williams and Smart also not likely to suit up. The Heat Have home Court who ever wins tonights game will statistically win the series 68% of the time. So Being as the heat have Jimmy and Bam along with Duncan Robinson and Oladipo I have faith that w/out Williams fully healthy for the Celtics Grant williams will be on Bam Or jimmy all night and that allows the Heat to win.

And as always “if it doesnt make dollars it dont make sense”

  • TEMPLE (-10.0) over Connecticut. Uconn’s only win is over an FCS school. They are so bad the should consider either dropping FBS football or getting a bigger name coach to attract better recruits on par with Temple and Navy. Temple rolls in this semi rivalry game. This game is the LOCk of the Week PICK.

#6 TCU (-4.5) over KANSAS ST. TCU will run wild here they know this team will and i can see them winning here by at least 10 points. K state is a ways away from being good enough to knock off the best of the Big 12 at home. TCU can win out here and go on to the CFP. I like their odds given their defense and Oklahoma’s inconsistent play.

#12 Oklahoma (-7.5) over TEXAS. Texas is still rebuilding, this will be another bad day for coach Herman. Oklahoma is more talented ,and they know to stay on track for a national title they need a win here, and a dominating would impress voters before the first CFP poll. little fact Oklahoma has won 6 of the last 9 games.

Toledo (-7.5) over CENTRAL MICH. Toledo is the best team in the MAC this year. Central Michigan is at home but I don’t think it will be enough. Win Rockets.

#10 Auburn (-6.0) over LSU.  Auburn needs a win here to continue a surprise season and stay undefeated and continue on to bigger match up with Alabama

Houston (-13.0) over TULSA. Houston is great again this year after Herman has moved on to a bigger check and honestly I’m not sure Texas would beat Houston this season if they met up in a bowl game. Which would be awesome (no brand name bias here) you show your work in this class to get credit. Tulsa got rocked by Tulane 62-28 after being road favorites. So this would shock me to see them win here or cover.

Texas A&M (+3.0) over FLORIDA. Florida is not trending in the right direction and i believe Coach Sumlin will get to 9 or 10 wins. I don’t know if that will save his job after all the early chatter but this game will be a Win for the Aggie’s. also note that Florida is has used 4 QB’s this season and has lost a lot of talented players to suspension and injury and I don’t know after last weeks showing against LSU if they can Stop A&M at all I would go money line here and see if you can get better odds on that as road team.

  • I recently spent a week in atlantic city on vacation using my hard-earned comp dollars and free mid-week rooms stay for long overdue moderately priced vacation.

I met several characters while staying in the Showboat Hotel and Casino and the Resorts Hotel and Casino. The most interesting of which were 2 people I met while either eating or playing poker. I’m only going to talk about one, because people have short attention spans so I’ll keep it brief.

The first was a real gambler risking large stacks of chips on marginal hands in poker, but what is interesting about Mike is that he said ” I had just got laid off from my job and am taking a serious go at becoming a poker pro” this guy seemed supremely confident in his moves calling and raising and re-raising with ease until the third day of my trip. I witnessed Mike lose $1,800 in one hand against some real card sharks, as opposed to the wading pool I was playing in. When he got up from table after losing such a big bet all he could say was “I’m done” as if he had lost his last penny. All I could think was that this guy was chasing a dream he couldn’t catch and lost all his money in the process.

Moral of that little story is “don’t chase things you can’t catch; because you’ll end up risking what you can’t afford to lose”

and if your familiar with the movie rounders “you can’t lose what you don’t put in the middle.”

  • I will be entering event number 5 at high noon tomorrow at the Ceasars Atlantic City one of my favorite places to play cards because the dealers are always cool and friendly. I have also won more at this casino than any other for some reason. the event is $350 and is 2-day event I hope to make the final table if not that at least cash in this event.

I expect to be able to make it into day two barring any really bad breaks but when you have more time to play it puts patience ahead of luck as with anything. As unexpected as it was, I was unable to crack day two when i went all-in for 30, 000 at level 9 after two breaks and 6 straight hours of playing i get my pocket kings beating by 9-8. I guess I need to work on my tournament game and strategy more than what I thought i needed to.

  • I don’t consider myself a pro or advanced amateur all, but I just picked 8 out 11 on a parlay ticket. I lost $550 overall on this latest trip but still motivated to come back and have some fun. I Played about 18 hours of poker; finished second in a sit n go and got nothing except a mug and a deck of cards from O’Shea’s casino winner take all. Definitely coming back to win that one. Its easy money and at 9am and 1pm for $45 well worth the investment.

I  know those in the poker already know this but Chris  Ferguson took $1 and turned it into $20, 000 in a couple of months. I only play live mostly in AC so I am going to try to take $40 which is the lowest buy-in they have at Bally’s on the 1-1 my goal is $15,000; it will let me play the 2011 world series main event.

If I can accomplish this I know I will have the discipline to play the main event and possible make some noise and that would be dream in and of itself.  So it begins the journey to $15,000.
